Self Creating Circumstances
There are many theories surrounding the origins of the universe, all of them mired in uncertainty. But one principle we can be vaguely sure of is that the answer is going to be very strange indeed.
Here is a theory I have devised
There is a basic mathematical rule of existence stating that all self creating circumstances exist simultaneously. This means that any scenario which 'ends' with it generating itself is automatically in existence in the Great Soupy Soup Soup (what lies beyond our universe, and what in a four dimensional context the universe is contained in). According to this theory there are an almost infinite number of universes, or self creating circumstances (SCC's) in which whatever it contains, most likely life, ends up creating the universe it exists in. If this is true it is our, or some other races destiny to create the universe, which would seep through the normally linear path of time to exist always, including at the beginning when it creates its creator. This theory only avoids collision with accusations of paradox because the rule exists outside the timeline.
Just imagine all those universes. Probability means that should my theory prove accurate, there are many universes similar to our own, including universes where red hair is more common than brown, and a universe in which the summit of Mt Everest is placed two inches to the left of where our version is positioned.

Nice work, if you consider a branching multiple universe theory than it is not only possible that we or some other race created the universe that we live in but almost certain in my opinion. Most people are too closed minded to look outside of their selves and their "reality" and even consider these theories. I'm glad to see that other people think along the same lines as I do.
